Soccer Game Preview: Sherman vs. McKinney North

Sherman is 2-8 against McKinney North since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sherman Bearcats will take on the McKinney North Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sherman's offense. They lost 4-0 to Lovejoy on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Leopards are ranked 67th).

Meanwhile, McKinney North hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 6-2 margin over Greenville. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for McKinney North, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

Sherman suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to McKinney North in their previous meeting back in January. Can Sherman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
