Rising Sun came tearing into  Thursday's  game with 15 straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the East Central Trojans get on the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. For the Shiners, this counts as revenge for the   5-4 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2023.
 Emily Oatman was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Vicky Erickson was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run and two  runs. That  home run was  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Tamryn Miller, who  went 1-for-3 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 Rising Sun  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in five consecutive  matchups.
Rising Sun pushed their record up to 17-3 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for East Central, their loss  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 16-7.
 Looking ahead, Rising Sun will head out on the road to  take on  Mt. Vernon  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for East Central, they have already played their next contest,  a  5-3  defeat against Jennings County on the 23rd.
