Volleyball Game Preview: Randolph Ghosts vs. Colchester Lakers + How To Watch

The Randolph Ghosts will take on the Colchester Lakers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Randolph is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Enosburg Falls, who was ranked fifth at the time (Randolph was ranked 12th). The Ghosts came up short against the Hornets on Monday, falling 3-0. The Ghosts haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-12.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Colchester, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Missisquoi Valley 3-0 on Monday. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-6, 25-19.

Randolph better keep an eye on Payton Vilmont. She was instrumental in Colchester's win, getting 14 aces and eight assists. Those 14 aces gave Vilmont a new career-high.

Colchester was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Colchester's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Randolph, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
