Softball Recap: Shelby Comes Up Short

Shelby fell victim to Cherryville and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Cherryville Ironmen, falling 19-0. The defeat leaves the Golden Lions still looking for their first win of the season.

Shelby's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cherryville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Shelby will head out on the road to take on Lincolnton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cherryville, they will be playing at home against East Gaston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cherryville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season.
