League recap: Jordan leads league with four wins since last week

Top honors in the league this week go to Jordan, which finished with four wins overall, good for best in the league. The Panthers beat Cabrillo 3-2, Mountain View 11-10 and Artesia 12-9.

Mike Semonsen was the top pitcher in Moore this week, leading Woodrow Wilson. He retired nine batters this week.

Millikan put seven runners on via walks this week, fewest in the league, but Lakewood's staff still boasts the league's best control, having issued only 19 bases on balls over 67 total innings.

There were four hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Chris Betts, who hit .667 by going 2-for-3.

Josh Goldberg struck out nine in the Bruins' 2-1 win over Santa Monica on March 12. Over six innings of work, he gave up three hits and zero runs.



Phillip Berman drove in four runners as Jordan defeated the Pioneers 12-9 on Wednesday. He went 2-for-4.
