Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Haughton). They never let the Huntington Raiders get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Presley Yerby, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Mayfield, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Haughton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .897. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
