Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Rylan Harder and Kyla Calnin Lead Montello to Victory

Montello had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Hilbert Wolves 3-0 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hilltoppers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12, 25-16.

Montello was led to victory by Kyla Calnin and Rylan Harder. Calnin had six digs and four aces, while Harder had 13 digs. That's the most aces Calnin has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Montello was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 20 consecutive matchups.

Montello's win bumped their record up to 32-6. As for Hilbert, their loss dropped their record down to 7-28.

Montello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Roncalli on the 25th. Hilbert does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
