Baseball Game Preview: Skyline Falcons vs. Mead Mavericks

Skyline is 1-9 against Mead since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Falcons will welcome the Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Skyline is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Longmont.

Skyline saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Lanier, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Mead's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to Legacy.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Mead, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-2.
