Baseball Game Preview: Beech Buccaneers vs. Rossview Hawks

The Beech Buccaneers will take on the Rossview Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Beech managed to slip by Siegel the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Beech lost 10-3 to Siegel on Friday. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson Jennings was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Beech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Philpot, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Kaden Powell also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Rossview put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Dickson County get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory.

Beech's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rossview, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Beech couldn't quite finish off Rossview in their previous matchup on Monday and fell 3-1. Can Beech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
