Pine Lake Prep had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Mountain Island Charter Raptors as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Pride might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Trey Schubert was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

In other pitching news, Riley Thomas looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Pine Lake Prep got a massive performance out of Kelton Osborne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Tyler Stanionis also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Pine Lake Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Pine Lake Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain Island Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Pine Lake Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain Island Charter, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Bradford Prep at 5:00 p.m. The Raptors are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
