Basketball Recap: Miller's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

If Mercedes wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Miller, they should've done a better job of containing Charles Perry Jr. The Buccaneers took down the Tigers 68-50 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Perry Jr, who dropped a triple-double with 13 points, 12 assists, and ten steals. Perry Jr is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season.

The win (which was Miller's fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points over those games. As for Mercedes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Miller will head out to take on La Feria at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mercedes, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rio Hondo at 7:30 p.m. on December 9.
