Basketball Recap: Calallen Skates Past Annapolis Christian Academy with Ease

Calallen saw some tournament action on Friday. They breezed by the Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors to the tune of 67-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

It was another big night for Sam Cecava, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 27 boards. His morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Tanner Martinez was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Calallen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November.

Calallen has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Annapolis Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Calallen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-40 win against Goliad on the 27th. As for Annapolis Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on January 4, 2025 against New Covenant Christian at 1:00 p.m. Annapolis Christian Academy is facing New Covenant Christian at the right time seeing as New Covenant Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
