            Baseball Recap: Desert Heights Prep Yote vs. Anthem Prep Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Desert Heights Prep's game  on Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They came out on top against the Anthem Prep Eagles by a score of  11-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  8-6  back in March.
 Cayle Haskell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits. Haskell was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with three  RBI.

 Haskell wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jaxon Maness, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those  three  runs gave  Maness a new career-high. Another  was  Josh Orozco, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Desert Heights Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Anthem Prep, their defeat was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Heights Prep will face off against Red Rock at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for Anthem Prep, they will challenge Salome at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Frogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5  runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
