Baseball Recap: Woodward Comes Up Short

Woodward managed to slip by Kingfisher the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Boomers lost 7-1 to the Yellowjackets on Tuesday. The Boomers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Woodward dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Kingfisher, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-11 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodward will head out to square off against Watonga at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingfisher, they will venture away from home to challenge Chisholm at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
