Basketball Recap: Valier Comes Up Short

Valier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 51-32 bruising from the Augusta Elks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-49 back in December of 2024.

Valier's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Augusta, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Valier will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heart Butte at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for Augusta, they will take on Lincoln at 3:00 p.m. on February 1st.
