Santa Monica had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Culver City Centaurs. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Centaurs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Gavin Kirtley tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Blue Hunter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Ehlers, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Santa Monica pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Culver City, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7.

Santa Monica will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Centaurs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
