Volleyball Recap: Cook County Comes Up Short at Home Against Cromwell

Cook County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Cromwell Cardinals on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost seven in a row.

Cook County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-13.

Amber Theiner paced Cook County's offense, picking up 12 kills. Theiner got some help from Bea Mueller and her 20 assists. Scarlet Higgins controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Cook County has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Red Lake on the 23rd. Cromwell has also already played their next game (against Crosby-Ironton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
