Carter came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the North Greene Huskies. That's two games straight that the Green Hornets have won by just one run.

Carter saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Burnette, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Carter's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for North Greene, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Carter will head out to take on Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Greene, they will welcome Chuckey-Doak at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
