Sonoma Academy's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Roseland Collegiate Prep Grizzlies as they made off with a 26-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Coyotes, who have now won eight contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Sam Tyko was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodie Castaneda, who went 2-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Sonoma Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Sonoma Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Sonoma Academy will welcome Tomales at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
