Basketball Recap: Canadian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Indianola last Friday, Canadian came back down to earth. The Canadian Cougars took a hard 55-39 fall against the Kiowa Cowboys on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Cowboys are ranked 92nd).

Canadian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Kiowa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Canadian will square off against Leflore at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canadian is facing Leflore at the right time seeing as Leflore is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Kiowa, they will take on Stuart at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
