Softball Recap: Wakulla Christian School Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wakulla Christian School entered their tilt with Jefferson County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Tigers. That's two games straight that the Saints have won by exactly 16 runs.

Grace Johnson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That earned run marked the first that she tossed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Eme Guyer was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Makenna Hurst was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Wakulla Christian School hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.

Wakulla Christian School's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Jefferson County, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakulla Christian School will take on FAMU DRS at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jefferson County, they will welcome Rickards at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
