Softball Recap: Uvalde Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Uvalde can now relate to. They came up short against the La Vernia Bears on Friday, falling 15-0. The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Uvalde's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16-1. As for La Vernia, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

While Uvalde had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
