Baseball Game Preview: Crestview Knights vs. Wayne Trace Raiders

Crestview is 0-3 against Wayne Trace since April of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Knights will host the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Crestview took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Jefferson. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Wayne Trace waltzed into their contest on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Bulldogs.

Wayne Trace's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Crestview, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
