Softball Preview: Dwight Trojans vs. Putnam County Panthers

The Dwight Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Putnam County Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Dwight will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

In what's become a running theme this season, Dwight gave their fans yet another huge win in their second game on Saturday. They put the hurt on Peoria Christian with a sharp 12-3 victory. With that win, Dwight brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Taylor Heath was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Heath was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Megan Livingston was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
