Football Recap: Flora Starts Season with Win on the Road

Flora had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past the Sesser-Valier/Waltonville Red Devils with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. The Wolves' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Parker Helm threw for 145 yards on perfect 9-for-9 passing. On the ground, Kormik Massie rushed for 127 yards.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Flora is set to square off against their familiar foe Carmi-White County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sesser-Valier/Waltonville will take on rival Hamilton County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
