After losing to Indian Creek the last time they met, Whiteland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors came out on top against the Braves by a score of 11-7 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly four runs.

Maalik Perkins and Blake Riddle did most of the damage at the plate: Perkins went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Riddle got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Perkins has posted since back in April. Bryce Tallman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Whiteland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Indian Creek, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-8 record.

Whiteland and Indian Creek are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Warriors will challenge Columbus North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian Creek, they will welcome Plainfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Quakers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Braves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
