Lamar Consolidated won the last time they faced Fort Bend Marshall and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Buffalos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

One reason for the win was Lamar Consolidated's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17, 25-16.

Payton Joyner paced Lamar Consolidated's offense, picking up nine kills. Joyner got some help from Alexa Perez and her 19 assists. Joyner also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Julieann Zepeda, each putting up three.

Lamar Consolidated's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Fort Bend Marshall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-6.
