League recap: Key dominating on the mound for San Diego

City league recap: 5/22/13

Domnique Key was the best pitcher in City this week, leading San Diego. He racked up 11 strike outs this week.

Christian Rangel was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .714 average, one home run and five RBIs. Morse went 1-0.

Although Crawford surrendered only zero walks this week, the lowest number in the league over that span, the Tigers are still tops for the season with just 78 walks over 165 innings this year.

Even after stealing 13 bases to lead the league over the past week, Hoover is still looking up at Morse, which ranks No. 1 in steals, with 93 on the year.

There were six hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Jose Montes, who hit .750 by going 3-for-4.



The Cavers' Key led the league in strikeouts this week with 11. He's ninth in the league with 26 total strikeouts.

Key led the Tigers to a win on May 16, as he notched 11 strikeouts to beat San Diego, 3-2. Over five innings of work, he gave up three hits and two runs.
