Cedaredge entered their tilt with Centauri on Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Falcons. While the Bruins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Colten Hutto was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trenton Ryan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Rupp, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Cedaredge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centauri only posted an OBP of .211.

Cedaredge pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Centauri, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cedaredge beat the Falcons by a score of 11-8 later that day.
