Baseball Recap: Jamestown Comes Up Short

Jamestown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-4 to the Maplewood Tigers.

Lucas Cole made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. That run marked the first that he scored this season.

Jamestown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Maplewood, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jamestown is set to challenge their familiar foe Lakeview at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Maplewood will square off against rival Saegertown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
