Soccer Game Preview: Beaverton vs. Shepherd

The Beaverton Beavers will venture away from home to face off against the Shepherd Bluejays at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaverton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Beaverton came up short against Standish-Sterling on Thursday, falling 5-1.

Meanwhile, while Shepherd scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Gladwin could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result was nothing new for Shepherd as the squad has yet to pick up a win this season.

With that draw, Shepherd's record moves to 0-9-3. As for Beaverton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Beaverton was able to grind out a solid victory over Shepherd in their previous matchup back in April, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beavers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
