Volleyball Game Preview: Chartwell Bulldogs vs. Notre Dame Spirits

The Chartwell Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Notre Dame Spirits at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chartwell came up short against Ceiba College Preparatory Academy on Friday, falling 3-0.

While Chartwell ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spirits have posted since September 20th.

Notre Dame wouldn't go down easily and took Oakwood into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 26-28, 25-20, 15-9.

Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Chartwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Chartwell might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Notre Dame in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
