Basketball Recap: Luke Browning Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Karns

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Ridge, Campbell County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 59-51 win over the Karns Beavers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their 30-point performance the matchup before.

Campbell County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Browning out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 boards. That's the most rebounds Browning has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Gavin Cox, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 18 points and eight boards.

Campbell County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Karns, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Campbell County has already played their next game, a 60-44 defeat against Knoxville Central on the 21st. As for Karns, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 77-41 loss against Powell on the 21st.
