Basketball Recap: Rocky Mountain Lutheran Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Blake Harris and Gavin Borchardt

Rocky Mountain Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 59-47 to the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs. The Eagles lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 57-22 score last time.

Gavin Borchardt and Blake Harris certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Borchardt almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards, while Harris posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Borchardt is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last seven games he's played.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran's record now sits at 1-8. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocky Mountain Lutheran has already played their next contest (against St. John Paul the Great), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Addenbrooke Classical Academy has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Regis Groff.
