David Crockett hadn't done well against Jefferson County recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Pioneers walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Patriots. This was a revenge game for the Pioneers: when they faced off against the Patriots two weeks ago, they had to take a 4-2 defeat.

Brayden Page tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Marcus Greenway was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Carson Bradburn was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for David Crockett and bumps their season record up to 8-13. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Jefferson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, David Crockett will face off against West Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson County, they will take on South-Doyle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are facing the Cherokees at the right time seeing as the Cherokees are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
