Van Buren had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Norwood Pirates a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 11 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Van Buren's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Norwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.
