Football Recap: Izard County Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Izard County's offense. They were beaten by the Melbourne Bearkatz 46-0 on Friday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Izard County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Melbourne, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Izard County and Melbourne will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars will take on rival East Poinsett County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Melbourne is set to square off against their familiar foe Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
