Pebble Hills came tearing into Tuesday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Montwood Rams by a score of 53-42. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-36 back in December of 2024.

Pebble Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sofia Holguin led the charge by putting up 20 points and five rebounds. That's the most boards Holguin has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Jordan Sapien, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 assists.

Pebble Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Montwood's loss came despite strong showings from Jocelynn Custard and Jazlynn Hernandez. Custard went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and six rebounds, while Hernandez posted seven points and 12 boards. Ashley Gutierrez was another key player, earning eight points.

Pebble Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Montwood, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pebble Hills will challenge Eastwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastwood will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Pebble Hills surely won't give up without a fight. As for Montwood, they will square off against Coronado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
