For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times West Windsor-Plainsboro South and Ewing have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. West Windsor-Plainsboro South walked away with a 14-10 victory over Ewing. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Bennett Siegel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Siegel was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Matt Raeter was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That run was his first of the season. Xander Rudisill was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

West Windsor-Plainsboro South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got West Windsor-Plainsboro South back to even at 2-2. As for Ewing, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
