Ellington won the last time they faced Portland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights came out on top against the Highlanders by a score of 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Chase Thomas was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Beaudry, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ellington's record now sits at 4-2. As for Portland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Coming up, Ellington will face off against Bolton at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Portland, they will square off against RHAM at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
