Basketball Recap: Myles Parker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lincoln Northwest over Waverly

Lincoln Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waverly Vikings. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 66-41 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lincoln Northwest's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Parker, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten assists. The dominant performance also gave Parker a new career-high in blocks (four). Roman Stepanyuk was another key player, going 8-for-12 on his way to 20 points.

Isaac Clarke went supernova for Waverly, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Clarke now owns an excellent 45.4% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Brockston Teply, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 13 points and six boards.

Lincoln Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Waverly, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-17.

As of now, neither Lincoln Northwest nor Waverly have any future games scheduled.
