Old Lyme has gone 9-1 against Portland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Old Lyme Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Portland Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Old Lyme duked it out withCromwell on Thursday. Old Lyme took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cromwell.

Meanwhile, Portland played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by East Hampton 57-26. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly 31 points.

Old Lyme will need focus on slowing down Elizabeth Barr, one of several Portland players who made an impact when they last played. She posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Old Lyme has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Portland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.

Old Lyme was able to grind out a solid victory over Portland in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 41-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Old Lyme since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
