Baseball Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Shawnee's offense. They fell 4-0 to the St. John's Bluejays on Monday. The defeat leaves the Indians still looking for their first win of the season.

Shawnee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Bender, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Kaden Fritchie also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. John's, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Shawnee will be playing at home against Ottawa-Glandorf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. John's, they will head out on the road to take on Spencerville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
