Football Recap: Mountain Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mountain Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Winthrop Ramblers and fell 42-0.

Blake Small threw for 76 yards on five of ten attempts. Diquari Thompson was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards. On the ground, Colton Gallant rushed for 40 yards.

Mountain Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Winthrop, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountain Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Poland on Friday. Meanwhile, Winthrop will face off against rival Lisbon at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
