Volleyball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial's tournament run continued when they took on Lourdes Central Catholic on Saturday. The Broncos fell 2-0 to the Knights.

Tyler Opfer paced Centennial's offense, picking up six kills. Opfer got some help from Dakota Butzke and her six assists. Hurley Harroun controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Centennial has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Centennial has already played their next match (against Shelby-Rising City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, they will square off against Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
