Football Game Preview: Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines vs. Fairbury Jeffs

The Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Fairbury Jeffs on Friday. Wilber-Clatonia has given up an average of 34 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Wilber-Clatonia lost to Auburn at home by a 33-15 margin.

Despite the loss, Wilber-Clatonia got top-tier performance from Graysen Vlcan, who picked up 115 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Vlcan didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, Fairbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 51-8 loss at the hands of Syracuse.

Wilber-Clatonia's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fairbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Wilber-Clatonia's way against Fairbury in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Wilber-Clatonia made off with a 33-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
