Baseball Recap: Atrisco Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Atrisco Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Los Lunas Tigers, falling 16-1. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Atrisco Heritage Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fabian Escobedo, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Atrisco Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Los Lunas, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atrisco Heritage Academy will host Albuquerque Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Los Lunas, they will be playing at home against West Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.47 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
