Basketball Recap: Julian Davis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Johansen over Beyer

Johansen lost against Beyer back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Johansen Vikings took a hard 74-60 fall against the Beyer Patriots.

Johansen's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julian Davis, who posted 13 points. Kenneth Walker was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Johansen's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Beyer, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Johansen and Beyer should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Johansen (ranked 332nd) will meet Ceres (ranked 853rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Johansen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Beyer will face off against Livingston at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 526 places (271 vs. 797).
