Basketball Recap: East Wilkes Has No Trouble Against North Iredell

The East Wilkes Cardinals strolled past the North Iredell Raiders with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 49-31.

Avarie Martin was a one-woman wrecking crew as she went 8-for-14 en route to 20 points and three steals. Gracie Shore was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory got East Wilkes back to even at 1-1. As for North Iredell, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Wilkes will welcome North Surry at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Iredell, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Newton-Conover at 6:00 p.m.
