Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Mapleton's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Mapleton won against McKenzie last Thursday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Mapleton Sailors beat the McKenzie Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 57-14. The Sailors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.

Mapleton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.4 points over those games. As for McKenzie, they are on a 30-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

Mapleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McKenzie has already played their next contest (against Crow/City First Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
